Importance of friendship. Give your opinion

Friendship is one of the most beautiful relations of all.

· Every one should make friends as u can share your secrets, problems and etc.

· Friendship is the purest love. It is the highest form of love where nothing is asked for, it is unconditional.

· Friendship has its own beauty, and if you can enjoy it, it is better than a love affair.

· Whenever I am upset, they are the first one who notices that sadness in my eyes, no matter how hard I try to hide it behind my smile. Whenever I am stuck in a problem and have no solution, no matter how serious the issue may be, they are the one who provides me the best possible way out of it. Whenever I need a company they are the one who come to me and make me laugh leaving behind other things.

Why We Need Friends

· Friends are always there for us, to laugh with us in the happy times and to provide us with a shoulder, when we feel like crying. They serve as one of the biggest supports in our life.

· Friends are amongst those few people who accept us, rather like us, as we are. They never come into our life, expecting us to change for them. However, they do correct us when we are at fault.

· It is said that whether you need to hear the bitter truth about yourself, go to your best friend. He/she will never lie to you, just to please you and win your favors. What he/she says is the truth about you.

· You can always count on your friends, whether you need any advice or any help. They will shy away from none. The best part is that a friend’s advice will always be for your betterment, whether it hurts you or pleases you.

· After family, friends are the one who care for you. They bring a smile on your face when you are sad and they go out of the way to make things alright for you.

· Friends are the ones with whom we can share our darkest secrets, without being worried of them being leaked. They acknowledge our worst ideas and try to fulfill our silliest of wishes.

· Friends feel happy at your success and sad at your failure. They share all your feelings and make you feel that there is somebody who still cares for you. When you have friends, you never ever feel lonely.

· Friends love you and care for you. They always make you feel special and never expect anything in return, other than your love and friendship. They stay true to you throughout their lives.

Ending --- "If only I had been more careful, that wouldn't have happened".

Tonight was a cold and stormy night. The doors slammed shut as the rustling sound of the leaves could be heard. The storm had been like this for the past three days. I sat on my bed thinking if I had upset the Gods above in heaven. As I lay my head down soft and gently on my comfy pillow, I wondered if mom and dad were ok. They had gone for a vacation to the bahamas and I had to stay back because of my exams. I wasn't worried about it as I've stayed alone many times.

Suddenly, the lights went out. My heart raced in agony as the storm got worse. I could see lightning lashing onto my gate and the roaring sound of thunder that came along. I pulled myself together and realised I needed to light some candles. So I headed downstairs with my trusty torchlight and worked my way to the storage room. I found the candles and begun to light them all over the house. I couldn't stand the fact that the darkness was playing games with my mind.

An hour had passed till I realised something wasn't right. I felt as if something else besides me was in the house. I panicked. My mind filled with fear but I had to be sure I was right. So, I searched all the rooms on the same floor and found nothing. So I carefully walked down staircase. As I was walking, I realised all the candles that I had lit were put out. I was surprised but aware that there could be someone else in the house. My mind pondered as to how i was going to sneak around without alerting the possibly dangerous stranger.

Then, it happened. As I hid behind one of the room's door. I saw someone walk by me. He was a huge muscular guy who wore a beard and had hair that was so curly a fly could get stuck if it went through it. I was puzzled. Why someone would want to break into my house, I asked myself. I noticed the man had a huge revolver on his belt. The same one the cops used. I didn't want to stick around and ask questions. I had to call the cops. So I crept towards the phone and thank God it was still working. I made a distressed call and the cops said they would be at my house in five minutes.

As I crept back upstairs, I accidently knocked over a small lamp and it broke. By this time I knew the stranger had been alerted. I was scared and feared for my life. My fears turned into my worst nightmare as I heard a loud noise. I was shot in the chest. I could feel blood oozing all over my shirt. The stranger walked towards me while mumbling words I just couldn’t understand. I thought I was a dead man. Then a miracle happened just as the stranger was about to finish me off. I heard a second gunshot and the stranger was down. It was the cops who had arrived.

I was rushed to the hospital and the doctors commenced emergency surgery on me to remove the bullet. I was then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as the bullet had hit my lungs and I was unable to breathe properly. My parents rushed back as soon as they got the news. I was lucky to be alive. The doctor had explained that if the bullet had hit me a bit more to the left, it would have hit my heart and I would be dead. Nobody knew who the stranger was or what he wanted. If only I had been more careful, that wouldn't have happened.

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE

During the December festive season almost every shopping and business complex is a hive of activity. The last few days before Christmas are exceptionally busy days. Many last minute shoppers scurry along from shop to shop in a last bid to complete their shopping. unfortunately mum and I were also completing our shopping at Margate on the last Saturday before Christmas.

Hundreds of people were in the complex. Parking was at a premium. Fortunately we went early and got a parking. We went about to complete our shopping. Shortly after midday we had just entered a jewellery shop when all of a sudden there was a tremendous explosion. My first thoughts were that it was an earthquake. My hair was standing on ends.

I turned around and to my horror there were several people lying down with blood around them. Slides of glass were strewn everywhere. Babies were howling. People were running in all directions. The place was in a devastating condition. The police were on the scene within minutes. There cordoned off the area. The paramedics arrived soon after and attended to the injured. We were lucky that we were not injured.

After some two hours the police managed to bring the scene under control. Those severely injured were transported to hospital. The explosion occurred as a result of a bomb being placed in one of the stores. The police questioned us and from that we were allowed to go home. This was an unforgettable experience although we were not involved in injury.

PET

HAVING A PET

Would you like to live a happy and productive life? Then get pets! I must admit it is hard to believe that domesticated animals can promote mental and physical health, but many studies have shown that they can. People who own pets have been known to lead longer and happier lives than those without them. As we get older, we become less active. The more inactive we become, the higher our risk of death. We therefore need something in our lives to keep us busy so we don’t die prematurely, and a pet is just the thing to do it. This is probably because of the companionship, exercise, and responsibility that they provide. On the other hand, you must find a pet that is compatible with you or with your life style. Maintaining good mental health is crucial for living a normal life.

Many psychiatrists have found that patients with anger management problems can be calmer with a pet around the house. Sometimes, just the feel of a pet in the house can do wonders on the nerves and eliminate certain aggravation. A significant point that has been brought up by animal right activists is that abuse inflicted on animals is, in many cases caused by frustration caused by an outside conflict. Outside conflicts can be caused by work stress, school or relationships.

Also, people need companionship to keep stress and mental anguish at bay. When people begin questioning why they are alone, they begin doubting their own self-worth. Then suicide becomes an issue. When a person becomes depressed, their body pays the price. A depressed person will neglect to care for themselves and will slowly deteriorate. Having a pet will give said person companionship. Just being able to have someone to come home and talk to or play with could be the difference between serenity and psychosis. In women, especially, is the extra comfort provided in just being able to care for someone.

Apart from that, owning a pet forces one to take on the responsibility of keeping it alive. One’s pet must be fed, watered, and kept healthy. Doing this requires us to move about. Whether one walks across the house or merely to the birdcage in the corner, said someone is moving. This small bit of motion will at least prevent muscular atrophy. Many pets will also require a walk to be happy and healthy. This gives one a steady cardiovascular workout.

In conclusion, there are many reasons owning a pet can increase one’s life span. Pets provide responsibility, exercise, and most importantly, companionship. For those in fear of an early demise, remember that pets can keep you healthy and happy.

Pros and Cons of Social Networking

It is not unusual if you often hear your siblings or your friends talk about the people they have met and made friends with through the Internet as social networking is one of the phenomena that have taken the world of Internet by storm. Almost every Web surfer has an account in at least one of the social networking sites, for these sites are the more enjoyable places to hang around in. However, the pros and cons of social networking sites have become a topic for debates.

Just like in any development in technology, social networking has positive and negative sides. Let us now take a look at the outstanding pros and cons of social networking sites.

The Pros

Social networking sites have paved the way for easier communication to your friends, family, or colleagues. One example is that instead of meeting in a certain place, you and your classmates could discuss a school activity by having a conference in a certain site that you are all members of, thus saving you time and effort. Virtual communities are also formed, which are composed of people connected together by common interests, purpose, and goal. People of different races also get to mingle with each other in just a few clicks.

The idea of socializing with millions of people of different backgrounds excite the Web surfers. This is one thing that you can hardly do outside the virtual world.

The Cons

While social networking sites have become places for establishing connections and meeting friends, they have also become likely places for identity theft and fraud. As you have to provide certain information such as your e-mail address, name, and location, others use these information and pretend to be you, especially when they are into illegal activities.

Furthermore, someone pretending to be somebody else can make you believe that he or she is up to some business offer, ask to meet up with you, and take your money. It has also become easier for someone to stalk you and harass you online.

You should make use of the pros and cons of social networking sites to take precautions in the kind of people you should trust and share some information about yourself to. The debates whether you should or should not be a part of the social networking community is never ending. And, at the end of the day, the best weapon that you have is sound judgment.

Tears

She cried, cried on my shoulder and asked me for a chance, a chance to be with her again. But her simple request was finally refused. Before seeing her tears, I couldn't know how deeply she loved me. If her tears and her love to me is positively related, she loved me as a mother loves her only son. But why did she treat me as her friend, her helper, her listener, just sometimes her boyfriend?

The saying that we never care the things we now enjoy is true. When I loved her as deep as the sea is, she didn't care about me much. Now when I am tired of her, she asked me for a chance to care for me as much as she had never done. But it is too late.

Promises are nice, but hardly kept, and they should not be easily made, or disappointments are expected. Her tears made me feel sorry and guilty, but nothing more than that. She wanted me to love her as I did before by her tears, but she failed. It is fated that I and she should be friends only.

But we didn't believe this fate, and now we have been tasting the consequence we should have, which left us unrecoverable founds on my heart and hers. At this moment I don't ask my lord for anything, except a quick recovery for her. Although her tears were out of her eyes one by one, dropping on my right shoulder, my decision was not melted.
